About the Program
You want to create a product or build a business. It takes a lot of time and money to start a business, and you want to make sure you’re building something of value. Something your customers will love, and that will stand the test of time.
Â
You’ve likely got a starting point. Great! This program is designed for people who come with one or more of the following:
- A product you want to develop
- A market you’d like to serve
- A problem you’d like to solve in the world
Â
The program goal? To give you the tools and guidance to develop the product or business that will be valued by your customer. By the end of the program you’ll have:
- A North Star – the guiding purpose you can help your customers to achieve
- Success Criteria – to ensure you can help your customers succeed in the right way for your business
- The knowledge to make confident decisions about your next steps:
- Should I apply for funding?
- Do I go to an Incubator or Accelerator program?
- What type of partners do I need?
- Do I build the business or sell/license the Idea?
- A repeatable process to develop many new Ideas
-
We know the current failure rate of new products and business is somewhere between 70%-90%. Unlike others who consider this high failure rate the cost of doing business, we have experienced that it doesn’t have to be that way. While we can’t guarantee you’ll be a unicorn, we can ensure that you will know what it will take to succeed.
Â
The Precelerate! Program is a 12-week course that will include instruction and introduction of new concepts. Many of these concepts will be completely new, and some will be counterintuitive applications of concepts you may have heard before. The curriculum is based on methods we’ve developed over 25 years of working with clients, from individual entrepreneurs to corporate innovators.

Program Structure:
- Weekly Sessions: Weeks 1-5 and Weeks 8-12 will be weekly sessions and will be structured to deliver content, or to receive feedback from the instructors.
- Weekly Assignments: Assignments are designed to help you learn through experience. The material in this program cannot be mastered by just reading or attending sessions. It needs to be practiced, reflected upon, and fully experienced.
- Reviewed Assignments: You will have one reviewed assignment where you can get feedback from an instructor on your progress.
- Special Practice/Insight Sessions: In addition to sessions and assignments, there are two extra sessions that will provide focused attention and practice on specific skills that will help you to get the best experience and improve the quality of your outcome.
- Individual Working Weeks: From our experience, there can be a lag time to schedule and conduct customer learning sessions, and then to have adequate reflection time to derive strong conclusions. To accommodate this important working time, we have built in two weeks for participants to work on their North Star and begin thinking about the Success Criteria before diving back into Weekly Sessions.
